The building will be surrounded by a garden, in an open space, with appropriate communications and all the necessary services and recourses.
There will be two-room apartments (living and bedroom) for residential use and a common area for services, such as multi-use rooms, dining room, kitchen, physical therapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy, medical offices, administration, etc.
The apartments will be modular with the support of domotics, and will be totally adaptable to users' needs and preferences.

Features
The building will be totally accessible and designed with universalist criteria, so that it does not require expensive or complex maintenance. Ongoing efforts will be made to maintain the accessibility and the building's friendly environmental qualities.
Ergonomic criteria is always applied seeking to simplify access, circulation, and use by disabled persons. The furniture will be placed in the rooms and apartments, taking special care to optimize space.
The project considers incorporating domotics as an essential tool to ensure users' independence, safety and well-being.

Domotics is a group of systems employed for home automation. It includes management of energy use, safety, well-being and communications, and can be incorporated through internal and external communication networks, by cable as well as wireless.


The project includes an IT system network, wi-fi connections throughout the building and an intranet for internal communications. For example, residents will have devices available to open doors, close curtains, inform themselves about activities, or to call for assistance, in accordance to their needs and different capabilities, with visual, tactile and auditory aids. The installment of these devises will depend on the specific needs of each user.

A user may live indefinitely in his/ her apartment. It is to be his/ her home and can be furnished and refurnished according to preference and circumstances. This will be complemented with the Center's facilities, to aid communication, movements and to respond to various needs. Users will be able to carry out their personal activities, receive visits from family members and friends, all in a warm and comfortable environment.

The duration of the stay is voluntary, open to enjoy weekend trips or an open agenda.

Residents as well as Day Center users will enjoy personalized attention adapted to their needs. They will have support and guidance, and a choice of physical, occupational and recreational activities, as well as meals and hygiene services. The Center will provide extensive information about disabilities, culture, occupational activities, accessible tourism and social inclusion issues.
